Pesticides are very harmful to humans. However, without the use of pesticides, we cannot produce enough food for the world’s population. By reducing the exposure of pesticides in our daily life, we can minimize the health risk caused by pesticides and prevent harmful diseases from occurring later in life.
In order to raise the awareness of the general public, the STEPS (students teaching essential pesticide safety) program has created a free website to present our data and findings for everyone to see.
This Pesticide Safety Monitoring Network (PSMN) displays real time pesticide test results submitted by users from various locations through our mobile app and website.
